Artishok TV Pärnu Filmi- ja Video Festivalilt

Läinud aasta detsembris toimus järjekordne rahvusvaheline Pärnu Vilmi- ja Fideo Festival. Tuleb märkida, et tegemist oli vähemalt kolmekordselt erakordse sündmusega:

1.Pärnu Filmi- ja Video Festival on ainus videokunsti-festival Eestis

2.Pärnu Filmi- ja Video Festival on üks Eesti ajaloo kõige pikemate traditsioonidega kultuuriüritusi - oma 15nda toimumiskorraga edestab Fideofestival napilt Graafikatriennaali (toimunud 14 korral), jäädes omakorda napilt alla Tantsupeole (toimunud 18 korral). Ja aastal 2021 jõuab Pärnu Filmi- ja Video Festival järgi Laulupeole.

3.Pärnu Filmi- ja Video Festival õitseb nagu lill kodumaise majanduse varemetel – nimelt toimus seekordne üritus kogu täiega ühes Pärnu suurematest kaubanduskeskustest, masu tõttu tühjaks jäänud müügipindadel.


Et saada festivalist tasakaalustatud, laiapõhjalist ja sisussetungivat ülevaadet, esitas saategrupp kõigile videokunstnikele kolm küsimust:


1. „What is your name?“

2. „What is the title of your work?“

3. „What is the meaning of your work?“



Juubelihõngulist üritust käis jäädvustamas Artishok TV, koosseisus Liisi Eelmaa, Indrek Grigor ja Margus Tamm.

In December 2009 took place another episode of annual Pärnu International Film- and Video Festival. Must be said that this was at least in three ways very exceptional event:

This is the only video-art festival in Estonia

This festival has one of the longest traditions among cultural events held in Estonia – with its 15th anniversary in 2009 it outraces closely Graphic Art Treinnal (held 14 times), but comes off second best to National Dance Fest (held 18 times). And in 2021 will Film- and Video Festival catch up with National Singing Fest.

Film- and Video Festival blossoms on the ruins of local economy – this time the whole event was held in one of the biggest departement stores in Pärnu, which was left empty after hard times in economy.


Jubilee-atmosphere was documented by Artishok TV crew (Liisi Eelmaa, Margus Tamm, Indrek Grigor). And to get well-balanced, comprehensive and invasive overview, they asked from all videoartists three questions:

1. „What is your name?“

2. „What is the title of your work?“

3. „What is the meaning of your work?“
